Fifth PAK FA fighter aircraft made its first flight in Komsomolsk-on-AmurMoscow, October 28. The fifth prototype of the prospective 5th — generation aviation complex (PAK FA, T-50) made its maiden flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the Y.A.Gagarin KnAAZ aircraft plant of the Sukhoi Company. The plane was piloted by distinguished test pilot of the 1st class Roman Kondratiev. The fighter aircraft spent 50 minutes in the air and landed safely on the factory airfield runway. The test flight was a success and in full accordance with the flight plan. The stability of the aircraft and the propulsion system were tested during the flight. The aircraft performed well in all phases of the planned flight program. The pilot confirmed reliability of all systems and equipment.

Upon completing the test flights program in Komsomolsk the aircraft will join the flight tests in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow. Four 5th — generation fighter aircraft have already joined these tests. Two more planes are involved in ground tests — one as a complex ground stand and the other undergoes static tests.

The first flight of the PAK FA took place on January 29, 2010 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Currently work is underway on the full range of ground and flight tests. To date, more than 450 flights were carried out under the flight test program.

Moscow, June 6. Training flights of the Su-35S take place these days at the Zhukovsky airfield at the M.M.Gromov Flight Research Institute in preparation for participation in the le Bourget-2013 International Air Show. The Honored test pilot of the Russian Federation, the Hero of Russia Sergey Bogdan works on two sets of aerobatics - for normal and complex weather conditions. Participants and visitors of the largest exhibition of the world aircraft industry achievements will be able to watch such a complex and spectacular flight figures as spatial barrels, somersaults, a flat spin, and, of course, the famous "Pugachev's Cobra".

 

Next week, upon completion of test flights, the aircraft will fly to France to continue getting ready for the flight program of the air show.

 

The newest multirole Su-35S fighter will be presented for the first time in a foreign air show. Its premiere flight program was held at the MAKS-2009 air show in Russia.

 

Su-35S is a deeply modernized super-maneuverable multirole fighter of the "4 + +" generation. The applied technologies of the 5th generation provide for the superiority of Su-35S aircraft over similar class fighters. The aircraft has a much better flight characteristics compared with standing analog fighters and more perfect on-board avionics. Aircraft characteristics exceed all European tactical fighters of the 4th and "4 +" generation like Rafale and Eurofighter 2000, as well as upgraded American fighters such as F-15, F-16 and F-18. Su-35S can also successfully counter the 5th generation fighters - F-35 and F-22A. This aircraft, in particular, is the fastest (2,400 km/h at an altitude of 11 km) fighter, it has a higher thrust, it also has an almost two-fold benefit to the modern French (Rafale) and Swedish (Gripen) fighters in the flight range (without suspension tanks - 3600 km). The Gripen NG aircraft, for example, has only one engine, so it has a smaller combat survivability and reliability. The American F/A-18 fighter is inferior to the Russian Su-35S in the flight altitude.

The contract to develop a sketch and technical project of the Russian-Indian 5th -generation fighter was completed

En:Moscow, April 10. The contract to develop a sketch and technical project of the Russian-Indian perspective multi-functional 5th-generation fighter (PMI/FGFA) was completed. The fighter design was fully developed. The both parties have agreed upon on the amount and division of work during the research and development (R&D) stage. A contract for the R&D is being prepared. It is to be signed this year.

The agreement on the joint development and production of the 5th — generation fighter aircraft was signed on October 18, 2007 in Moscow at the 7th Session of the joint Russian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Technical Cooperation. It is the largest joint project of the Russian-Indian military and technical cooperation. In December 2010 Rosoboronexport, Sukhoi Company and the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited signed a contract to develop a sketch and technical project of the fighter. In the course of the first stage of the project the Russian side has trained Indian professionals, provided them with the original data and the software to create a single working environment. The Indian working group of experts has been working in Russia since January 2012 and a group of Russian specialists — in India. Both parties exchange the necessary information. The PMI/FGFA fighter developed by the parties will have some differences from the Russian prototype due to specific requirements of the Indian Air Force.

Sukhoi Company is currently involved in other Russian-Indian joint programs, such as modernization of the Indian Air Force Su-30MKI fighters and adaptation of the Russian-Indian air-to-ground BrahMos cruise missile to the Su-30MKI.

 

Ru:Москва, 10 апреля. Завершены работы по контракту на эскизно-технический проект перспективного многофункционального истребителя (ПМИ/FGFA). Полностью разработан облик самолета. Согласован объем и разделение работ сторон на этапе опытно-конструкторских работ (ОКР). Ведется подготовка к заключению контракта на ОКР. Его подписание планируется в этом году.

Соглашение о совместной разработке и производству истребителя пятого поколения было подписано 18 октября 2007 г. в Москве в рамках 7-го заседания российско-индийской межправительственной комиссии по военно-техническому сотрудничеству. Это крупнейший совместный проект в области российско-индийского военно-технического сотрудничества. В декабре 2010 г ФГУП «Рособоронэкспорт», компании «Сухой» и Хиндустан Аэронаутикс Лимитед (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) подписали контракт на разработку эскизно-технического проекта самолета. В ходе работ первого этапа российская сторона провела обучение индийских специалистов, предоставила исходные данные и программное обеспечение для создания единой рабочей среды. Индийская рабочая группа специалистов с января 2012 года работает в России, российские специалисты — в Индии. Налажен обмен необходимой информацией. Разрабатываемый сторонами ПМИ будет иметь некоторые отличия от российского прототипа, связанные со специфическими требованиями индийских ВВС.

Компания «Сухой» также участвует в других российско-индийских программах — модернизация стоящих на вооружении ВВС Индии истребителей Су-30МКИ и адаптация к ним российско-индийской ракеты класса воздух-земля «БраМос».
