"Hackerspace: open innovations meets open source hardware
Hackerspace is a physical space and community to support people who want to create new things for fun. The global growth of hackerpsaces are at 30% a year so far reaching about 1000 of them in 2010. The main creation out of hackerspaces these days are around smart devices by attaching intelligence to everyday objects via open source hardware platform like Arduino and these innovations are often shared under the same open source licenses to the community. This talk will focus on how hackerspaces where open innovations meet open source hardware will become the engine that drives the next wave of creativity and bring us to the Internet of Things 2.0. It will also cover the opportunities about hackerspaces inChinaand how it would interface with the super efficient manufacture ecosystem inChinato bring new opportunities.
